Attendance that reflects reality
Paper musters and WhatsApp leave requests make it impossible to know who was actually on site. BuilderXPro records attendance with GPS, biometric, or IP check-in, routes leave through proper approvals, and rolls analytics up across sites — with clean data ready for payroll.

Why hr & attendance matters more than it looks
Construction HR has a problem most office HR software never has to solve: the workforce it needs to track is not sitting at a desk with a badge reader. A crew moves between sites, works different shifts depending on the phase of construction, and often includes both direct employees and labour supplied through a contractor. A muster roll on paper can be filled in honestly or it can be filled in generously, and there is usually no way to tell the difference after the fact.
GPS, biometric, and IP-based attendance exist to close that gap without requiring new hardware at every site. A field employee’s check-in can be tied to their actual location at the moment they clock in, an office employee’s check-in can be restricted to a known IP range, and biometric devices can be used where they already exist — so the attendance method fits how a given role actually works, rather than forcing one method onto everyone.
The same logic extends to leave and scheduling. A holiday calendar that is the same for every site ignores that different states observe different holidays; a single work schedule ignores that a site team and an office team keep different hours. Configuring these per organization, rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all policy, is what makes the HR data usable at payroll time instead of requiring a manual cleanup every month.
The HR challenges unique to construction
Attendance is on paper and easily inflated; you can’t verify who was on site.
Leave is requested over WhatsApp with no balance tracking or approval trail.
Teams are spread across sites with different shifts and holiday calendars.
Getting clean data to payroll each month is a manual, error-prone scramble.

Who uses this, and how
Trusting the attendance data at month-end
Instead of cross-checking a paper register against a mental model of who was actually present, the HR manager pulls GPS and biometric attendance records that were captured in real time, with mock-location detection flagging any suspicious check-ins.
Approving leave without a WhatsApp thread
A worker requests leave through the app. It routes for approval against their leave balance and type, and the supervisor can approve it — or raise it on their behalf if they don’t have access — without the request getting buried in a chat.
Exporting clean attendance data
At month-end, attendance data mapped to payroll IDs and cost centres is ready to export, instead of someone manually reconciling three different attendance sources before payroll can run.
From start to finish
Check in
Staff clock in via GPS, biometric, or IP — verified against the site or office.
Request leave
Leave requests route through approval flows with balances tracked.
Analyse
Attendance analytics and team metrics roll up across every site.
Export
Clean, mapped data is ready to hand to payroll each cycle.
Questions about hr & attendance
Attendance can be geofenced to the site, and the platform includes mock-location detection to flag GPS spoofing. Office check-in can be restricted with an IP / CIDR allowlist, and biometric attendance is also supported.
Yes — leave management with approval flows, leave-on-behalf, configurable leave types, holiday calendars, and work schedules (days, hours, breaks) are all included.
It prepares payroll-ready data — attendance, leave, payroll IDs, and cost-centre mapping — that you can export to your payroll process, rather than running statutory payroll itself.
Yes. Office versus field attendance configuration lets you apply different check-in methods — IP-based for office, GPS or biometric for field — rather than forcing one rule on everyone.
Holiday calendars are configurable per organization, so sites in different states or regions can follow their own applicable holiday schedule.
Team metrics and field-executive metrics give HR and operations visibility into performance indicators beyond raw attendance, drawing on the same underlying activity data.
