AutoCAD-style command line
Type L, REC, C, TR, F, O — the aliases your drafters already know. Coordinate entry (x,y and @dx,dy), Enter-repeats-last, Esc to cancel, F1 help with every command and shortcut.
Real drafting environment
Infinite canvas with minor/major grid, drawing limits, object snap (endpoint, midpoint, center, grid), ortho mode, hover highlight, window and crossing selection, grips, and layer control with linetypes.

Is BuilderX CAD free?
The download is free. Using it requires a BuilderX CAD seat assigned by your organization admin in BuilderX Pro — plans include bundled seats, and additional seats can be added per user per month.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Drawings are local files, so drafting works fully offline. You sign in with your BuilderX Pro account and re-authenticate with the web every 7 days; publishing to projects needs a connection.
Which platforms are supported?
Windows (installer .exe) and macOS (.dmg) — one app, both platforms. The BuilderX Pro companion mobile app is live on the App Store and Play Store.
Can it replace AutoCAD for 2D work?
BuilderX CAD covers everyday 2D drafting — drawing, editing, layers, measurement, and plan PDFs — with the same command style. Deeper parity (blocks with attributes, layouts, DWG exchange) is on the published roadmap, and its real advantage is being wired into your projects, versioning, and BOQs.
